I did read the first sentence and the one after that. I am fully aware of what you were trying to get across. A round turd looking broomstick bait with a bill copy is one thing but to mold a bait off of someone else's exact bait and not change things is pretty weak, while also trying to get it quite, fully admitting you knew you were doing something dumb. if he had not actual intentions of getting them to other people the screen shot of that conversation would not exist.

Just cause this has been going on forever or done to other baits does not make it right/acceptable.

Great, can we also show videos of wire being bitten through or breaking. It happens to all materials. In my experience wire gets a kink in it and breaks at that kink, and it always breaks and the worst time.. I would rather be able to look at my leader see its fraying and tie on a new one than have it break at a kink that I may not notice. I may not be the esox guy on the swimbait like speedbead, but I do have a ton of experience on esox on the fly, where leaders are a huge deal and issue. Do what you want but Fluoro is the way to go most of the time in my eyes.
