    Get the 806, you'll want to fish bigger baits at some point. It's a great all around rod and will throw those baits perfectly.

    No, the short lips are not standard. They are the "minnow" lips. The standard lip is slightly longer than the minnow lip. Then, there is the wide longer lip for deep cranking, also used on the hi float but flipped around for waking. I can supply pics to clear it up if you really want.
