theres a lot of aspects to this. Faulty knots, bad spot in line, etc. I dont think I'll ever lock down drag anymore. I've lost a few fish on hookset, and whether it be from locked down drag or bad spot in the line, I'll never know. But what I do know is that a decent amount of drag (8-10lbs as said above), should be enough to bury hooks into a bass.

I think we all have been there, I know I have It sucks, especially when youre in a flurry after you get bit or something. But you gotta use a good, strong, properly tied knot. Dont cut corners! If you dont trust it retie.

are you guys tying the rig like a tradition drop shot or mainline to line tie, then bottom hook hanger to the weight?

a year ago i didnt have any swimbaits. Now I have 3 hudd 68's, two s-wavers, and an assortment of trashfish, inline talons, etc. still working on it...

Cant dwell on it. I had a DD on all the way to the boat. It looked me in the eye, took a dive making my curado scream and *POP*. My PB would of doubled from a 5lber to a DD but now ill never know. To top it off, later that day I hooked and landed a 8.2lber. I could of had 20 lbs for 2 fish. Nightmares I have to live with
