lol, I'm all in on this thread... I lost an F-18 glide the other day fishing from the shore. That was my first semi-expensive bait to lose and it hurts your soul...

+1... I never knew just how much of a difference flouro made until I got my Tylures upside down bait in. If I throw it on Mono it floats... If I throw it on flouro it sinks at about 6" every 10 seconds. I can't run the optional back hook if I want it to be workable on or near the surface with flouro lol.

Keep this in mind.....myself and I am sure there are others that have many baits that they did not pay retail for. I have paid up the there times retail for a bait I need. When I sell them I am sure you will call me a flipper. If you want to pay 3x what a bait is worth, that's on you. It's kind of like getting ripped off on a used Toyota corolla and then telling everyone that you are driving a 40k dollar car lol. It's pretty obvious when a release drops and brand new baits go up for sale the next day though lol. Hopefully one of these days Mickey picks his production back up and those guys who are just flipping baits won't be able to rip people off for profit anymore. -
It's refreshing to see that there are still a few people out there who have some integrity left and aren't trying to rip people off. Kudos for not jacking the price up.

Thanks for the kind words. The big bass is going to probably end up being a two piece wake once I get the chance to build a mold of it. I'm getting the rat thing down pretty good at this point so I've started sending a few out to friends for testing. Hopefully they catch fish lol .

Here is my $.02... I have a 6" Baby glide ($65) in bass color and it weighs 2.79oz on my scales. It has Mustad Ultra Points on it and I'm fishing it on an LDC production MH with a Lexa300, but it works great on my W&M flipping stick with corvalus 400 also. Both rods have 20# Big game on them. I haven't tried it on my Phenix heavy, but I am sure that it would run fine on it as well since you aren't really using the rod to get the action out of the bait. I think the tail is made of lexan as it is a hard tail. Here are a few pics.

nope, but I stuck a log a couple of days ago and then immediately stuck my hand in my tacklebox to find a different bait to tie on lol.

I have been looking around and from what I can tell the spool bearing is the same as a zillion. Can anyone confirm this? I would like to swap boca 7 spool and side plate bearings into it but don't really want to go order the wrong ones. Thanks, Chad

Trav stuck a 26lb carp on a hudd last year lol. We used to catch 30-40lb Buffalo out of the spillways back home before all of the lakes got so dry. there is nothing like hooking into a 40lb fish in fast running water on a zebco 33 and having to sprint down the bank lol. I can't even tell you how many reels I had stripped out as a kid.

you know what hurts them even worse? Culling systems. I've caught a ton of bass with no membrane in the bottom of their mouth because of that.

+1... He and I have talked quite a bit and you won't find anyone more dedicated to building baits and helping people out.

In Texas you can buy goldfish in baitshops... throw a #2 hook through one just below the dorsal fin, free spool it along grass lines without any weight and see what happens . As a kid I caught some of my biggest fish on goldfish lol. my cousin moved from east texas to Tallahassee Florida when he was 14 and almost got felony charges for using a goldfish as bait... Oops lol.
