  1. So I will start out by saying I do work for Savage Gear but our line thru trout has been pretty deadly on big musky and largies. I have a photo of me trying not to laugh as I take a photo of a largie that hit a 10 inch line thru rigged on 150 pound 7-strand wire. Guess that fish wasn't line shy.
  2. We did good on Mill Lacs largies on the 6 inch and 8 inch yellow perch line thru trout from Savage Gear two weeks ago. Funny part is they didn't care about the wire leaders either.
  3. You can top or bottom rig the 6 inch and it has the same mesh going through the baits just like the trout.
  4. I miss those days of the show. There wasn't much of interest there this year.
  5. Okuma and Savage Gear are going. Okuma will have reels and swimbait rods for sale including the new Guide Select "A" version rods. Savage Gear will have all the Shine Glides, New colors on Glide Swimmers, eight inch Ghost Trout Line Thru Trout, the new 10 inch Line Thru Trout and we will be showing the bluegill baits that will be coming in March/April.
  6. Baits will be out in March. There will be two sizes and it will be a top and bottom hook line thru on the large size and top or bottom fixed treble on the small size. The U.S. will release two colors the light and dark gill. MSRP will be about 15.99 on the small and 19.99 on the large. There are videos of the slow sink and floaters swimming action on facebook.
  7. He made a rubber trout that floated and a dozen others made it better. So someone had the idea of a car and nobody else is allowed to make a car?
  8. And some on lithium that are even crazier Randall
  9. Here you go: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hinkle-Shad-Swi ... 6016.l4276
  10. For selecting the top rigging or bottom rigging I found out that if you pinch the last 1/8th of an inch of line before threading the bait helps a lot. If you face the now curled line up it will go up to the back. Point the curved line down and it will go to the belly. Pretty beefy bait. The pinched line trick works great on the six inch model also.
  11. Pretty easy to see where they added the extra inch to the bait. Looks like a 3rd grader carved the additional length they added to the Hinkle.
  12. The Big Bass Dreams store has the limited run Savage Gear Ghost Trout 3D Line Thru. Just a heads up.
  13. Here is a shot of the soon to be released Clear Lake Hitch pattern
  14. LOL A few more new colors than that, 10 inch? Nope.
  15. Not yet. It will be dropped on Savage Gear USA facebook page soon. I will copy and paste here shortly after if members are interested.
  16. Some cool new colors coming out soon, new sizes, and new harness options.......
  17. There is one fish caught on the owner of Deps trip, however there is another chapter in the DVD where Butch Brown shows a bunch of fish being caught on the Slide Swimmer. A bunch of big fish from the goon.
  18. It is an $80 to $100.00 bait before the hype. There has been no change to the bait. Then the 3:16 zombies jumped on the bandwagon and we have the debacle that is todays prices. I wish these guys would go back to flipping Wake Jr's for 180.00.
  19. Baby bass pattern and their baitfish "Dirty Silver" pattern will be in on Feb. 15th.
  20. Been using the Citrix for awhile now. 25 pounds of drag, engaged level wind, definitely a big fish reel.
  21. I didn't see Jerry Rago on the list of speakers?????
  22. At Castaic Lake the lifeguards will help retrieve a lost swimbait. A couple buddies have had them dive for baits. They were 1 for 2
