    Diawa lexa 300 all day, its not a super low profile, but it can handle the big baits, also the spool holds a ton of line. just my 2 cents, its also like 140 bucks on ebay

    the airlines were saying it would be counted as an extra bag, some were saying you have to pay extra but its free for military, and then it said if its over 80 inches then you have to pay. so ill probably never get a straight answer so ill just ship it thanks for all the info, hopefully this helps someone else too.

    just like it says, I have an 8 ft rod case. but is it more of a hassle and more expensive to bring them on the plane rather than just shipping them to my destination? would love to hear some feed back on past experiences. btw flying american airlines from dc to cali. thanks
