  1. Cool video, and love how Butch said you dont need an expensive bass rig to get it done. Makes me feel better about having the smallest "bass" boat in SD County ahaha.
  2. Awesome! the swimbait community is pretty spectacular.
  3. Top Shad sold carp pending trout pending
  4. Selling 4 Donut Shads I have in various colors. All in 9/10 or 10/10 condition. $60tyd each, pm me if interested thanks SU!
  5. My last two orders didn’t deliver next day anymore, and they recently messed up on size of split rings I ordered. Quick fix, but first time I’ve ever had an “issue” with them... hopefully not the start of problems to come. But for now, still solid in my book
  6. Thank you all! I’m still gonna keep pushing and trying new schemes. and correction above, I don’t have the High Performance Iwata haha. It’s the Revolution is what I have, as well as the Neo
  7. I finally decided to take the jump and get me an airbrush! Was tired of the limited details I was doing with the rattle cans and made the jump. I’m a terrible artist that can barely draw a straight line, but learning the layering of paints with the rattle cans helped me and I figured the investment was worth a shot. I started off by getting a Master Airbrush off of Amazon. Came in a kit with a desktop compressor for about $50, and although was a great tool to practice with, it didn’t spray finer lines well. Glad I got it though cause I quickly learned the importance of keeping it clean, and in the process I bent the needle messing with it and learned some standard Airbrush handling and maintenance. About a week ago I took the big plunge and bought me an Iwata performance and a Neo. The High Performance is great (and a bit pricier), but honestly the Neo (even though advertised as a beginner model) feels a bit easier to work with for my hands. long story short, I’m super happy with it and it’s definitely way too fun for me to go back to the rattle cans. here’s what I’ve been painting up so far. Still got a ways to go, but I’m loving it so far.
  8. Recently made my “Sidewinder” which is a lipless wake 4pc or 5pcs that swims with a pretty slick “S” motion. Decided to carve up one with a bit more detail to mimic a trout just a bit more. here’s the process so far. im liking the swim, so next up is to work on dialing in the paint scheme
  9. Still amazed by the Smallie! That things a toad
  10. Some new baits I made for myself. Gonna be tossing these around for a bit
  11. Did a little fine tuning on my 3pc that I’m calling the Torpedo Wake (and Crank) depending on the weighting. Also making this 5pc 9” topwater trout. I tend to do well on multijointed lipless topwaters when it comes to size of bass, so decided I needed to make me one. Test swims this weekend so crossing my fingers on the big boy.
  12. Man I hope that doesn’t make its way to CA. I’ve been getting torn up this year by them dang little pests with all this humidity we’re getting
  13. I’ve always had good dealings with TW and GSO. My most recent order did come a bit later than usual, but was only a difference of a few hours. Delivered after I got home from work, which I actually prefer. Hopefully they don’t go to ish. Always been solid Next Day service. In the past they even let me go pick up a package at their warehouse here in SD on Xmas eve in order for me to get a gift in time
  14. I used to log all my catches in my album here on SU to keep track of my fish count. It’s been a good tool to look back on and remember what the fish were doing at certain lakes at different times of the year.
  15. Here’s my three Bombers that I’ve been cycling through. All have gotten bit and I’m probably close to 70+ fish on these three combined.
  16. Haha man, I need to send you a new one if you’re putting that kind of work into it!! That’s so awesome to see the Bombers with rash!
  17. Traveling Bomber is fixed up and ready for some more bites. Off to @yev14 as of yesterday. Should be delivered soon!
  18. I used to never wear sunglasses when I was younger, but getting into fishing got me into them heavy. Now I can’t stay out in the sun without them and a hat. Have saved my eyes too, pulling a bait from a tree branch that snapped and shot right at my face and whacked my glasses. Luckily didn’t get hooked anywhere
  19. That is some sick paint. Definitely gonna rip some lips
  20. I haven’t used Lucky Crafts for largies for years, but I do have the smaller ones in my saltwater bay box. They slay spotted bay bass and halibut out here in San Diego... but those definitely are not “swimbaits” haha. The one you have there though is big enough for me to consider as a “big bait” and for $7 I’d throw it if I didn’t have too many other Crank options.
