Can you catch bass on Swimbaits in muddy waters
biggfeast replied to Riverking's topic in The Underground
Yes you can catch bass in super muddy water. Just throw something with some thump or knock -
I actually do a little bit of both. I have ballast in the pour for my “standard” models which I know the weight placement and amount to put... but for testing and prototypes I’ll often add after the fact.

Young guy that needs advice on painting on detailed carving!
biggfeast replied to Carterdale's topic in Grass Roots
I think making a silicone mold of your masterpiece is great to start so that you can make a bunch of practice blanks without worry. Once you perfect it, you can paint your wood master with skill. Also, if you ever want to duplicate that bait, you can get molds of it in resin and make more or make adjustments with ease of not starting over from scratch. Me personally I am just using rattle cans so have no clue what and how to do with an airbrush -
Glide baits, slammer, and rats for 4 seasoned Bass
biggfeast replied to Ianray94's topic in The Underground
for me slammer & rats (waking) is awesome for when the water is warmer 60 degrees plus at night or early morning or sun down. Glide baits tend to be good in spring and fall pretty much any time. Rats are awesome any time imo, id wake them at the sun up and sun down times, and id crank during the day over and under structure. -
I love wake baits in the rain, especially on summer warm muggy rainy days. Baby wake has been the best producer for me. Hoping to try my luck with my own wake bait this year. If its cold and rainy, then I"ll stick to the traditional soft bait slow roll.

Awesome catch Neill! And I believe TT glides exist. Have seen photos of them before from some guys who used help to make TTs.

That’s one slaunchy pig! Good stuff my man

Oooh I want in on this. Add me to the list @chefchris ! I am building up some of my Bombsawakes, but for this I think i will build a bigger 8” version of it. Currently it’s is 6”... Either way I will definitely have a bait up for swap by March 17th. Looking good guys, keep up the awesome work

Stepped away for a bit as the cold winter months came in... but I’m gearing back up and getting some bombers finished before spring. Always fun to build these.

I had same exact issue and sent mine to @bass_ops on Instagram. He was able to source the part needed and fix it for me. Turned out buttery smooth.
