  1. +1 just picked up a few. Such fantastic lures.
  2. any pictures of bassroid? what is condition like?
  3. Whaddya mean no big deal? a bass is a bass! great fish man!
  4. From what I understand I don't think it would be right for swimbait fishing. Check with some other people but I don't believe it would yield maximum results for you. Edit: the color that is, obviously CXX is a staple swimbait line!

    Pond bass

LOL it is just about the opposite in my house, my dad uses a 4ft rod, 30 year old reel, and everything you just described, he does 'wrong', but he has just started fishing this year(just retired from Marine Corps) and catches fatter fish more frequently than I do, using traditional gear the 'right' way. Just goes to show nothing is set in stone in the fishing world. Pics aren't showing but I know exactly what you mean. Tight lines!
  6. just read this story now but wow my friend congratulations on the amazing fish, and one helluva night. Sent a prayer up to the big man for your pop. Carry on tradition.
  7. Man that is a sweet little bait you made yourself there!
  8. I'm sorry, I should have clarified. I am an idiot and was using 50Lb braid with a 25Lb fluoro leader. Reel got caught when casting and she went a-soaring.. Merry Christmas and welcome to swimbait fishing Mr Bradley!
  9. thanks for the info! only problem for me is that I live in the midwest, and water temps are already in the high 40's and dropping. I may have to wait until spring to attempt to recover it and by then my hope may have just dwindled away completely. Someone said it best. Best lure retriever is a diving certification. LOL!

    ETBA

I'm under the impression I can post right on this thread for ETBA's feedback instead of creating a new one, so if not please let me know. ETBA was great to do business with, he disclosed all information he had, as soon as he had it. Stayed in touch, fast replies, quick shipping, and also a fair price for a beaut of a deps 175 SS! Thanks ETBA, hope to do business again sometime.
  11. Lots of comments here but I figured I'd kick a dead horse and add my 2 cents. It is not worth the price put on it, and as many have said it is pretty much just sloppily made and engineered. I can think of 3 baits off-hand that you are better off buying at that price point. A savage gear 3D Glide, in gizzard if you have gizzard shad or chartreuse shad if you have no roach/shad in your area. Maybe a Jackall Gantarel(40$) if bluegill are abundant where you fish, or a R2S S-waver. I am a big fan of Savage Gears 3D Gizzard shad glide, swims really well at a slow or fast retrieve and does well on a steady reel-and-stop cadence. Like I said just my 2 cents and it is not set in stone what anyone says!
  12. man that bait is beautiful. 3:16 stays on their toes. awesome fish!

awesome fish brother, that's what it's all about!
  14. snapped off my first ever deps 250 3 casts into fishing it yesterday... i know the general vicinity but I am going to have to snorkel to get it i feel. anyone share any methods of trying to retrieve it? its about 6-8 feet of water
  15. PM'd on bullshooter and 175
  16. Now that is interesting.. I can't seem to catch a walleye for the life of me, and you catch them on Slideswimmers..
  17. They truly are worth it. If you take a liking to bigger baits then there is no question about you wanting one.
  18. Awesome fish! Just lost a D250 today myself... going to do the same method with a net tomorrow, and if that doesnt work I am thinking of throwing a couple 4-5 oz weights on the corners of a seine and drag that along the bottom to see if itll catch the hooks! Nevertheless good story, solid fish!
  19. Still have the bullshooter? won't let me PM you due to lack of posts.
  20. Bump, good price if new or like new. Still a good price if used.
