The 710 is way overrated it’s rated 1-4 it’s more like 1-2.5 maybe 3. The whippersnapper 2.0 I think is 3oz and it’s a little much for the rod

I agree it’s our spot so I’m not asking permission to go there. Now showing other people spots is a different and more complex conversation but I read the OP as he’s fishing solo and he old partner thinks he owns rights to a spot they found together

I don't fish tournaments but in my opinion if he's cussing you out publicly he doesn't consider you a friend nor does he respect you. 2 if you found spots with him regardless of who's boat your on its your spot too. Now if he put you on a spot and you want to use it in a tournament you're both in then sure show him courtesy and say hey just a heads up I plan on fishing this spot but in no way do you need permission.

Looks like they used the 145 body which is smart to use something you already have vs designing a whole new body. But they used the same tail slot and lip style as the TK nobody that I know of had that before DRT. Line tie in the same spot. Even the back section looks like its reshaped a bit looking closer to the TK. I'm far from a DRT fan boy I'm not mad about this or even the TK KO to be honest. DRT should keep up with demand if they dont want people to go elsewhere but IMO they tried making their own TK.

Never used a blacklist so I'm not sure. I want to say it took 8 weeks to come in (in stock when ordered) but it may not have been that long I know it felt like forever. I think there may have been a shortage of shipping materials at the time so that may have been a big factor in the delay it might not always take that long I'm not sure.

Doesn't hurt that he is arguably the best painter around right now.

I have a 710 ghost code. Its a nice rod for the money. I waited a while for it to ship and the rating is a bit off imo. says 1-4 but I throw a whippersnapper on it and it feels like that is about at the end of what it should be rated for. Perfect for TK's and shellcrackers.

Dont ship them with the hooks uncovered. Hook covers are cheap, you can also put rubber or foam over the hooks too.

I've got in on 2 but since its been changed its more like a scavenger hunt than a bait drop.
