  1. Definitely a nice size kitty
  2. Went out night fishing to test a ac plug I been messing around with. Put a metal bill in it and a keitech easy shinner for the tail. Baits now 17 inches long. I think the bait works I ended up catching one bass at 22 inches long, and one channel catfish ended up going 26 inches long. Also caught alittle chuck on my buddies hamsandwich bait. Sorry for the bad night pics I need to get a better phone
  3. Looking for the hook hanger earrings. Anyone have any their not using?
  4. Ms slammer you can find them on here for $60-$90 that bait will catch them as long as, people keep throwing them.
  5. Thank you all for the response I'm going to look into those phenix inshore and that mega bass one. I'm glad there is some options I thought for sure, I would have to get a rod built.
  6. I was trying to find a 7 foot or 7ft 3in 1 to 4 oz jig rod. Was planning on throwing 6.5 mauller and the deadhorse lonestar craw. I Haven't found any production rods with those kind of ratings.
  7. Will do!!! You gave me the motivation to keep grinding. Still trying to get that first dd and from the bank too. I've been close I've gotten them to bite. Now just got to get one in the net. Spawn is starting to warp up, but the goal Still remains.
  8. Shorebound unfortunately going on 8 years of swimbaiting and the whole time not one person has ever offered to take me out. It's OK tho because I still catch them. Just don't ever get to fish any big water around me.
  9. Caught a few fish on a 12 inch slammer but this was the biggest one from the night. Haven't been putting fish on the board, too much work trying to set up in the dark, hate keeping them out of the water that long.
  10. His some pics of a few bass I caught.
  11. Caught this 4 pounder today waking feel like this bass is trying more to look like a barrimundi than a bass.
  12. That's what I'm looking for because I need a rod that's not going to pull hooks. Because I plan on using it for big trout and gaint smallmouth where headshakes and digging deep is been a huge problem for me with these smaller hooks on 795 for me.
  13. Not trying to threadJack this but I'm in the same boat got alot of baits under 3ozs. I was thinking of getting a rod for bigger crankbaits. Instead of a swimbait specific rod. Do any of guys do that instead of buying a swimbait rod?
  14. Got this one out fishing. I was throwing my alpha sewer all-day because we had a rainstorm that day. Got two swirls on it but nothing hook up. Decided to do one last bait Change, and stuck this fish on the first cast
  15. I like the 7 inch one the most, I haven't tried the 9 inch floating one. I think I would enjoy the floating/subsurface better because the glidator sinks alittle too fast for my liking, and they don't have super long hang time on the pause. I do enjoy this 11 inch glide alot more fishing current because it sinks more and the pauses work good enough, but you ain't going to 4 plus second hang times. The 7 inch is my fave because I don't need super wide glides with insane hang times. I fish like jerkbait sometimes with twitches and I will use the reel but I get like 3 second hangtimes. I still really want to try the floater/subsurface ones still I hope jerry will make some 11 inch/floaters I would definitely give them a try
  16. I thought for sure if got bit on this 11 inch glide It was going to break my pb well now I know that a 5 pound brown don't discriminate against those 10 to 12 inch stockers.
  17. Stuck this brown river fishing. Fish went 22 and half inches. Fish ate a 11 inch glidator
  18. I feel like I need more power than line pickup for such a massive bait. What are some reels that have insane amount of torque like something you would need for 10 plus oz crankdowns.
  19. I I prefer fast gear ratios with glides. I'm using a concpect A but it's 8 to 1 with 37 inches of pick up. Buts it's too hard to crank in 3 pound bait in with 1.5 pounds of weeds. I can work the bait fine swimming it, but when I hook a fish that's when I'm going to have alot of trouble turning the handle.
  20. So I was looking at 5 to 1 gear ratio reels and notice after looking at a few different reels. The line pick ups for the can be from 25 inches up to 31 inches. So my question is am I going to get more torque out 25 inches per turn 5 to1 reel, than a 30 inch 5 to 1 reel. Would I just be better off with a reel with a Infinity torque concept. Trying to find a reel for my manifold that has alot of torquing power that won't break down. I have a low gear tranx but I don't really want to use it because my local tackle shop guy had a 400 and it only lasted him a year using it for big steelhead and salmon. So I'm sure the reel fine for bass for most techniques
  21. I use my 908 throw most of my gaint baits. I say 16ozs is about the max you want to throw. I did try to 24ozs felt like the rod might break over hand bombing it. I don't know how Matt actually was able to chuck that 4 pound glidebait he had on the 908 I have a manifold deniro 550 and I throw it on a $200 musky rod. It's a musky innovation monster mag rod 8 to 40ozs. I had the handle exstanded by 10 inches. With the hardware I have on it and when the baits wet it' weighs 50ozs. I wish I had a bass rod rated with those specs so I could do a comparison. Eventually I'm going to try to get a deps strongmind rod it seem to be rated for 4 to 6 pound baits.
  22. Slammer, magdraft, and some kind of ratbait. Doesn't matter if it's for smallies or trout species either.
  23. Looking for livetarget swimbaits in 4.5 inch sucker profile. They seem to have discontinued them. So if anyone has some lying around I'm interested buying some.
  24. I believe the deps strong mind is the other rod, I see a few other people throwing it on.
  25. I throw the 250 as well as a few other glides but I don't fish alot of glides I love fishing crankdown down rats and baits the most. But the rod is perfect to throw a 250.
