    Hello Swimbait Underground members, I have been reading up on a lot of this valuable information here and would first of all, like to thank you all for your input and generosity of sharing your knowledge with others! My question is this: What is the difference in performance and "work ability" between new old old style Deps 175's. I know how the new are ABS and the old are a foam body, but I have heard from some people that the new style swim better and are more consistent than the old style???? I find this hard to believe seeing that the OG 250's are more valued and in my opinion better than new style ones, but was wondering if the same resides for their little brother the 175.     Specifically the 12" ABT suicide glide but all info on any size is welcome. How does the 12" compare to the glide of a Deps 250, Gancraft jointed-claw shaku one 303, Roman Made Mother, Hinkle Trout, Bevel God, and other glides in its weight class. Is it worth the money ($135 on TW)? Curious.

    Haha well he asks me whenever I am looking at baits or stuff on facebook and here, I call them OG 250's so he knows the terms, he would recognize a hinkle shad, he knows the difference looks wise between OG and new and he doesn't know much about the actual difference. Definitely will check out an swaver 200, I only have 168s and he likes those. Anyone have reviews on the 30acre stuff? looks cool and doesn't sound like it will break the bank

    Hey SU, I checked out the noobie thread and thought those baits were good and also checked out Tactical Bassin's video today on good gift ideas for swimbait anglers. My younger brother has started to get some interest in the swimbaits I have, for some reason specifically the OG deps..... (Not getting him one, can't afford that haha wish I could) I was wondering if anyone here has some recommendations that aren't as mainstream as an s waver, spro rat, etc. Not looking to break the bank, been letting him use some smaller stuff on his MH rod but looking for some ideas of maybe baits that don't get enough love or attention. Megabass Islide 185 silver slamon, brand new no package -50 6 inch magdraft in nude rainbow, tail was modified, will throw in to first buyer for 5$ extra or maybe free savage gear shine glider 135 bluegill- new, upgraded hooks, 12 tyd WTT a spro rat 50 for another wake bait or rat style bait, can throw in one of the baits listed above or maybe some cash, looking for slammers, 3:16, mattlures, shoot me offers also looking for some cheaper hudds, soft plastic baits, etc even if a bit beat up (need some winter baits)

    What split ring sizes do you throw on your baits like a Deps 250 or a hinkle shad etc, those big baits. I was looking to possibly buy some all around sized split rings for A) line ties, and for attaching the hooks to the baits (duh). I wanted to replace some on my baits like the gantarel or a deps 250 but don't know what sizes they are. I currently have #5 owner hyper wire but on some of the big baits they seem tiny, any reccomendations? thanks SU
