  1. I've had luck for big smallmouth on the swaver 200. (That's an 8" bait) But Don't be afraid to throw the bigger bait but you could always experiment with smaller baits too.
  2. I use the 9" slammer (single joint) in Bluegill color and that combo slays. If your fishing at night in the summer, ive had luck throwing the slammer right on the shore (like 10 inches of water) and tons of bass will destroy it. Good luck!
  3. I had 7 followers that day and 6 of them were smallmouth so I have to agree with you there. I'm thinking of trying out the 168 size for a better hook up ratio.
  4. I went down to a local lake to fish a s-waver 200. I didnt really try to catch a bass on it, I just wanted to fiqure out the action of the bait and how to fish it. Well after 5 cast I already had 3 followers so I decided to keep fishing it and on my 8th cast I had this smallmouth follow it. He hit the lure 2 other times until he finally got the hooks, he was the most aggressive follower I ever had. I might have to keep this bait in my Tackle Box.
  5. Thanks, it took a while and alot of sweat and tears to catch this bass.
  6. Yeah and idk why it was so fat, it wasn't on a bed so it must been eating good.
  7. I've been throwing Swimbaits for the past 214 fishing trips with no fish. I've gotten a few bites and a few followers but no fish landed. So I went out to a tiny pond with a jackall Ganteral and finally caught one on my first cast. Then a few cast later I caught a smaller one. Finally ended the skunk.
  8. I was there last weekend and I had a giant bass on a 10" hudd while crawling it on the bottom at night. Nearly took the rod out of my hand but she came off. So if your night fishing you might want to try the hudd.
  9. One bait that is good for ponds is the Jackall Ganteral and 9' Ms Slammer. The slammer gets bit bad in ponds for me.
  10. I got this rod about 3 months ago. Its great yet the only problem I had is when I fish with braid. Eventually the braid began to cut into the guide and now a bit of the guide is gone. Yet because the guide is so rough that it is always fraying up my line. Which I figured that would eventually happen yet I didn't think it would happen after around 60 fishing trips. Besides that it's a really good fishing rod.
  11. This was my first swimbait fish. Caught it on a 9 inch ms slammer. This fish didn't even get hooked, it got stuck on a piece of grass that I got caught.
