Hey guys, I could use some advice on what reel to use with a Megabass Black Jungle Nephilim. I have a few reels home but i don't feel that they would be a good match for the rod. The reels i have laying here at home are a Tranx 500, Shrapnel and a Okuma Isis 400. I wanna use the Shrapnel on a different Megabass rod and the Tranx feels a little overkill. Should i just buy a new reel in the 400 size? And what do you guys recommend? Thanks

Gotta ask, first thing i had to do with this reel and the Shrapnel was to open them up and put some grease and oil in them, Did any of you have the same problem? I know that Daiwa had some huge problems with the Lexa here in Sweden, The reels started screaming after a few casts thanks to too little grease/oil. Don't get me wrong i love Daiwa, Thats why i have a Ryoga 2020HL, Shrapnel, Z2020 and a St.croix Avid that really is a Daiwa Luna with some St. Croix decals on it lol

Got it today! Too bad it's winter already here in Sweden.. just 4 months and i will be able to fish with it lmao

Flouro leaders, I personally use 100lbs FC but i fish only for pike. Titanium leaders work really good too.

I use a Okuma Isis 400LX, Ryoga 2020HL, Ryoga Shrapnel and a Abu 5601 Jerk and a old St. Croix Avid AC250. The St. Croix is gonna retire when i get the new Daiwa Z2020 The Shrapnel is a beast, i love it, just have to find a good rod for it.

A Savage Gear MPP 8' spinning rod should work, Not sure if Savage Gear sells them in US tough. Rated up to 5oz or something like that.
