  1. Have you read this yet? TONS of good information for beginners. I started out with a dobyns fury 806 and a lexa. Great combo to start off with. As for baits I wouldn't go crazy buying too many. Get 3 baits to start. One top water, middle water column and bottom. A slammer or bbz rat would be a good choice for top, triple trout/ hardgill or swaver for mid column, then maybe a hudd for the bottom. This website is a very valuable tool, just need to do some digging and read. Welcome & good luck.

Guess you’ll be buying a few more! Hahah impressive work man
  3. 86 Baits Shad profile in bluegill, hyped on this one.
  4. Brian, TK Lo float will crank about that depth with flouro & the standard lip. Typically I think of A mode as lip in (cranking), b mode, lip out (gliding). In my experience I found that the TK is a little more erratic with lip out than the K9. I like to add a weight to the either when gliding to help it stay down a little bit. - 1.8 g for tk 2.5 g for k9. My recommendation for you would be to get a TK & K9 both in low float. Hope this helps & Im sure others will add some useful info.
  5. Sounds like an unreal time! Congrats on the giants!
  6. Coming right along! I think scales could only improve the final product. Will you be carving them?
  7. Moving forward I would avoid using Venmo for transactions like this. Although Venmo is owned by Paypal it does not offer the same protection a buyer is provided using Goods & Services on PP. Venmo is really designed for sending money between friends and family quickly from bank accounts. I hope that everything works out for you.
  8. This was a good read at work, it's the best when it all comes together. The perch 178 is a perfect match the hatch for our area.
  9. Well deserved, way to grind! GL in the battle man.
  10. Over the weekend I was able to get out a couple times and had some productive outings. On Friday night I hit a couple places from shore. This fish missed the DRT Joker the first time, passed on it the second, and crushed it the third. She ended up going 5-13. The following morning I tried a new pond with a buddy on my boat. He missed a few on the frog in some pads so I figured they may hit a wake as well. Took a few casts around some offshore pad clusters and got crushed. This one was a bit shy of 5. Right now I am addicted to this bite. The Joker doesn't get bit everyday but when it does the bass want it dead.
  11. Wow! Great fish Brian! Is this the 3rd DD on the UFO gills?
  12. Sounds like a blast, glad the trip was a success!
  13. Looking to buy either a Wade Hoggs or a Micro Mink. PM me, thanks!

    Best this year

Went out on the water w/ a couple friends after work yesterday. I was getting no love on the Rago two piece delta rat but was determined considering there has been an abundance of rodants this year in the area. Came across a new submerged tree and bombed a cast as close as I could to the tree & shore. Worked it as close as I could to the tree and kinda gave up as my bait made its way past the strike zone. To my surprise I saw a green blob dart out of the tree and pop on my bait. After seeing the size I desperately called for the net. She dove under the boat but my buddy intercepted her w/ the net. She weighed in at 6lbs 1oz making it my biggest of the year. My smile should show how excited I was.
