  1. That can work. Or use tungsten nail weights to ballast the bait. Or like a crankbait you can sometimes tweak the line tie.
  2. Idea! may or may not work but it's worth a shot. Mold the putty into the shape and size desired, then dip the putty in oppoxy to make a shell around the putty so that it wont run or ruin the shell. Or just try to find a way to encase the putty in some fashion.
  3. Yeah. Honestly striper plugs would probably be best. Also punkers aren't poppers but they do throw out a little bit of water if that helps. Might wanna give it a try. Also, there is the imakatsu gill pop. Its pretty rad but has that tall bluegill profile and a little side to side action.
  4. Just checked my go to japanese website and it seems like almost every lure from signal is sold out.
  5. They aren't worth that much! Check out backlash jp. They are usually out of stock. So you have to check frequently. Please don't fall for this flip price!
  6. Not sure about pizz. But I can say that ufo's have an action and stability that I personally have not seen before. Also, Ufo is pretty much a one man show so... supply and demand.
  7. At one of my local lakes the crappie will do this except the find something that they'll push up against. After catching a few I've noticed that to sort of rest they will rise up and rest against the bottom of a boat or the dock. Never seen them do it in open water though.
  8. I like to burn it then pause. You could also just get crazy with it if the fish a feeding super aggressively. Just half reel turns or rip the rod.
  9. I haven't used that rod so I can't help you there. I have used spiral wrapped rods before and haven't really noticed too much of a difference as opposed to a rod with standard guides. Can get a little more distance on the cast but there are probably other factors that play into it. I really like my phenix M1 8ft heavy ( swimbait rod). It is available on tackle warehouse. It is rated 1-6 oz.
  10. Get some of the bigger keitechs. They're cheaper and the weight on the bottom of the hook is more exposed so you might be able to feel more.
  11. If you're trying to make a mental map of the pond you could try using a very weedless bait and dedicate a day to just feeling the bottom and finding out what's below. I'm not sure what your pond looks like but in socal i can kinda look at the bank and get a general idea of what it looks like underwater.
  12. How big is the bait cause I've only had fish choke smaller baits like battleshads or bullshooters?
  13. I can relate to this so much because when I first started i was doing the same thing. I was however on a broke high schooler budget, but i was still trying to get every bait I could afford. It clicked for me when I finally caught a fish that I had to grind for. Tough day of fishing, hot, in a float tube, and hadn't had a bite in a year and a half. Then I went on a trip with Manny Chee where I learned more about swimbait fishing and myself than I could ever imagine. Also Mike Gilberts "A quest for the cure" article was very eye opening.
  14. Nice one dude. I've been taking advantage of the heat and the smaller crowds.
  15. That's awesome man. Nothing like catching a fish right after getting a bait.
  16. She is choking that bait! congrats man. I've never seen a rat swallowed like that.
  17. Duo Realis Koshinmushi Cicada Bug. they're on TW.
  18. Owner st46 #1 in front and Owner st45 #2 in back.
  19. D Sorry. I meant these screws. Saw an insta post about it, but I don't know if all the nz crawlers have them. Hope this is somewhat useful.
