  1. Damn Tinos! Good for you! Thanks for the info.
  2. Hey Underground, Those of you who fish the battles shad, do you fish it in winter? If so, do you bottom bounce it slow, like a hudd? Or mid column at pace? Just received a couple 9.0s and am itching to throw them. Thanks SU
  3. This sounds like my every visit to the TW site. "I need a couple beast hooks, definitely better pick up $40 worth of other stuff for the free shipping!"
  4. Damn! Another nice fish Scott. Thanks for sharing!

    Bummer, looks like they're gone.
  6. I've got it too. Mine is same as BOZ, it loads correctly when I'm in another sub. Edit: I'm on desktop.
  7. I wonder what that second one weighed a month ago?!?! Great catches! Do you have a favorite configuration for the TK? All the options seem overwhelming.
  8. That looks great! As Jordan said, the color is spot on! I also like that you made it slightly shorter belly to back than the original, should make it a little easier for the fish to wedge in their mouth!
  9. Good deal, I think Owner makes the hook that you're looking for. The standard length model numbers would be ST-36, ST-46, or ST-56. 36 is regular wire, 46 is 2x heavy and 56 is 3x heavy. Sorry, but I don't know their short shank models off the top of my head. BTW, TacticalBassin on youtube has a couple great videos on this subject:
  10. I think you're thinking about the EWG vs round bend backwards. My understanding is that a round bend treble will have a better hookup ratio as that the point aims parallel to the shank of the hook vs an extra wide gap hook's point which angles in toward the shank a bit will not hook as many fish that slap at the bait, but will keep what it hooks pinned more securely. I can't advise you on short vs. regular shank length other than to say that whatever you choose to swap to, remember to be mindful that the weight of the hooks will affect the float or sink rate of your bait.
  11. Nice! That's a healthy looking fish!
  12. Not sure if you're interested in new, but Dobyns will ship direct to you on the oversize swimbait rods for $25. I just picked up an 867 directly from them, great experience. You can order with them via phone.
  13. I'll echo what others have said, I have an HD on a Dobyns 795 and it works great for smaller stuff paddle tails, citizens, 9" slammers and Spro Rats all feel good on the combo.
  14. Thanks Nick! Good to hear!
  15. I noticed that the Battles Shad has been taken off of Mike's site for the last week or two. Does anyone know what is going on with them? I hope he's not stopping production!
