    No, need a heavier rod. If you are regularly throwing 6+ oz baits I would look at the LDC XH or Leviathan XH.

    I put a knockoff 110mm DRT handle on my Zillion HD 1520 and it is awesome. Need to get a real one when they come out with another batch of them.

    I have a Zodias 7'5 H that will absolutely launch a 5" RS or 6" Citizen. I throw them with 50# braid and can feel literally everything

    I was the first one to have a Big Shooter in the USA back in like 2011. Awesome reel! They are fast as hell and the drag is crazy. Edit: Just saw you are talking about the new model, have not used one of those. The OG was a beast, though.

    In my experience, if you are using braid you want a much softer and slower rod. I used a Dobyns 807 with 80lb braid to throw hudds for exactly one day. It is way too much for even the jig hook, let alone any treble stingers. It also puts way more stress on your gear.

    I had an 8'6 LDC XH/F built for 8" Hudds with the jig hook. I think that is the way to go.

    The Cull Shad has been recalled by Berkley. You can have them replace it.

    Ironically enough there are like 4 knock-offs now. Spro just came out with one at iCast. F Berkley, but they also have a copy-cat.
