    My TK didn't come with a split ring. I use a #4 size Decoy egg snap with the lip in. However, I've noticed that without the lip, the front hook seems to grab the line a lot when I have the egg snap on. So I'm wondering if the snap gives the bait a little too much freedom without the lip in.

    It does sound like it has a very subtle, low knock to it. But also, the joint is not padded, so that will make a click sound as well.

    I use a Curado 200K for 1-3 oz. glides and it handles them well. It's a very solid reel.
