  1. I’m pretty new to the website so I’m not exactly sure if this is the right form to post in but I was wondering if anyone has tried putting an extra few coats of clear coat to help with hook rash? I have a can of aerosol KBS diamond clear which sprays super thin layers compared to the dip or brush on cans of kbs. I’ve read some posts about repaints and paint wraps on drt baits and people are saying it affects the action.. Not super sure how much I believe that for repaints especially if you were to strip off the old paint and put new paint without a super thick layer of clear coat? I think I could see more potential for effected action with a wrap. I haven’t fished these baits much so I could definitely be wrong! You guys will know better than me. Anyways Im thinking of spraying a few coats on my k9 to help with hook rash. If any of you have tried it or have an opinion let me know!
  2. First of all disclaimer every bait is different this Technique works for me and may work for you. Step 1: I ues jb welded plastic bonder To fix the cracks I lift open we’re the damage part is at making sure I get the jb weld in the crevices not too over do it just get enough in there .then clean the surrounding areas / 70% alcohol works best then I wrap the part with tape too clamp the part waiting 30mins too cure . Step :2 I drill a hole just big enough too get the nozzle to fit for the expanding foam Don’t put too much pressure on the nozzle As demonstrated in the video I overdid it As demonstrated in the video a little goes a long way ! After let the Foam cure You will need to fill the hole you make with jb weld plastic weld putty let cure for 24 hours . Ps make sure all the water is out of the bait and it’s dry be for running this process . If You have any other questions or concerns don’t hesitate to message me thank you for your time IMG_1424.MOV
