  1. Leader size is really important in areas with musky, went out today and lost a brand new bait. Big musky ate it right by the boat and sliced the leader clean in half. Still had fun though.
  2. Quick question, going on a musky expedition soon and wondering what big swimbaits to use... I have hinkles, bull shads, islides, and deps. Which would be best from that selection as I am favoring my 6 inch bull shad slow sink to make them commit.
  3. I am just starting to get into swimbaits, but where i live in Ohio we have a lot of muskie and pike. That makes me very wary to throw any bait over $20 when I could lose it to a toothy fish at any time. Does anyone have any tricks they use to prevent fish like this from just cutting thru their line? Thanks.
  4. I'm new here and wanted to know if anybody on here uses muskie baits for big bass or caught muskie using swim baits. Also, do people on here care about muskie or northern pike, or is it strictly bass around here?
  5. How heavy of line to avoid being bit off by toothy critters? Where I fish we have big northerns and muskies, I would like to throw my big expensive baits without worrying about being bit off. What pound test line would you recommend to help avoid bite offs by toothy critters? Thanks!
