AkimbaLL704
Hello everyone, you have probably saw my last post about my perch W&C but this will be the new forum where I will be posting all of my progress for all baits to come. Thanks! After seeing the effectiveness of my 2pc perch I wanted to go even bigger! So I decided to make a 7in body (with ought the joints and tail) but in a 3pc version! This is my first ever 3pc bait that I have ever made and I BassYakin, Jim137a, Rogervang and 1 other

AkimbaLL704
Finished up the bait yesterday and I am very happy with the action! When cranking it has a nice swim throughout the whole body and walking it is like a dream! Took it out fishing this morning on a lake that I have a tournament on next week and it produced! Bit the size I was looking for but first fish on the side hustle perch 3pc XL! Oh and RIP to the ghost code IMG_0508.MOV SoCalBassBum and Jim137a

WTH happened to the ghost code Thanks! It’s a great feeling catching a fish on a bait you made! And I I took one small cast with the ghost code and it snapped! I was fishing all morning whipping the bait out there but one little cast broke the camels back! Jim137a

AkimbaLL704
Hello everyone, sorry for kinda disappearing for bit but I’m back and I’m in. The shop! Now that I kind of have a little more time off from work I wanna spend it in the shop cranking out some baits. What I have right now is a new carp style glide that I wanna attempt for a local lake where I work. This bait is being carved out of poplar and we will be shooting for a slow sink, or a low float would be cool too. The 2 others are going to try to be replicas of my 2pc side hustle perch. I might try and do V joints for all the baits but every time I try I mess up. If anyone has any tips or info it would help out a lot. Thanks! (P.S im busy ordering parts at the moment for baits but they should be here soon I promise!) Spencer_518

AkimbaLL704
here’s a couple baits I’ve been working on in my spare time, whippin up a few 7.5” side hustle perch glide’s. I wanna try a few different styles and joint designs so I have a few blanks ready to go! Overall I’m pretty happy with how everything is going so far, I’m just taking my time! And I will be ordering resin very soon to see how it works!
AkimbaLL704
Decided to try something I never have before, used a Dremel and carved out a slot for the fins, tried about 6 different styles before I found the one’s i liked. Used epoxy and then around the top edge’s went over with super glue just to be safe. I hope it doesn’t effect the swim of the bait! AkimbaLL704
Little update on the 7.5” perch glide. Got the joint cut but I wish I had did it differently, kinda disappointed in how it looks but it’s probably just me. It’s hard to explain I’m just not %100 satisfied with it.. AkimbaLL704
I know I have a problem for doing this with a lot of baits but the 7.5” glide perch is gonna be going on the back burner for a bit while I work on my newest bait! It’s a glide gill that is just under 6” in body length. I’m also attempting a V-joint for a different action in the water. More updates will be coming soon! Thanks for all the support! If anyone has any advice or recommendations for me it would be greatly appreciated JustBassinAround916 and DnL_Fishing
AkimbaLL704
Added a top fin and just sanded off a little more material on the bait. I like the shape of this bait because it’s not to big but not to small! Can’t wait to get to testing!
