I really like my irod jr. Swim with 8 inchers. The mod-fast action seemsike the right compromise for the single soft body treble that kind of requires more of a sturdy hook set than a regular hard body, double treble hookset. At 3 oz. I also think the 8 inch is right in the sweet spot for the Jr. Swim rating.

Personally I would toss that bait on my Kaimana 794 or Omega H with braid to leader. I would treat it like a hardbait because of the treble hook. Either rod has enough power to drive home a 1/0-2/0 owner st-36 w/out issues. It’s not like you are trying to slam home a 10/0 or 12/0 beast hook.

Yea, I guess you guys are right. I've just always had trouble thinking of it as a hardbait treble type bait or hookset due to the nature of how the hook is secured (despite the smaller diameter treble hook). Ive always kind of thought more of an inverted frog hook. 20221025_084832.thumb.jpg.9735626b77d434bac2140fce399263f1.jpgHard for me to think this wouldn't want a little more ummfff...
