Esox bite was on fire. Started the day with a TK and had a small pike follow on three consecutive casts before finally committing.

Working my way upstream into deeper water I switched to a hudd and out of nowhere another pike smoked it right at my feet.

The river was pretty low and there were areas I was avoiding with the hudd due to all the shallow boulders. I tied on a rat and just as it was nearing a shallow rock pile it got blown up.

After working over the shallow structure I made a bomb cast into the deepest section of the pool, letting the current carry the bait out over a submerged concrete wall. I cranked the rat down and a few moments after hitting the wall felt a huge thump. That turned out to be the highlight of the trip, my second ever tiger muskie!
