chefchris Posted May 2, 2023 Report Share Posted May 2, 2023 Stopped tonight on the way home from work to check this outflow spot, usually they stack up pretty good if the tides right, didn’t even buy boots/waders on. All I had was swimbait gear on me. So tossed on the @Jinxd12wake gill and tossed it out along the cut, 3rd cast it got hammered in about 2’ of water, nameless 786 and a conquest 400 got it in with no issues forget how weird it is fighting fish with drag on conventional gear (usually using spinning/surfcasting set up) couple quick pics and off she went about 32” to start the year on a swimbait, so I’ll take it. Had a few other hits but tide was almost done so went home. Will be back this week and see what else I can find to eat some topwater at night.
