Bobloeacobar
Hey all, I apologize if this was already a topic but I can’t seem to find any info. I recently traded for my first rat, a 2 piece PB rat to be specific, but I have zero experience fishing them. Are they just a cut and dry straight retrieved bait, or can they be used with rod/reel twitches. I’m not looking to steal any secrets but I really don’t know anything about them. Nates baits
I’ve found that not enough people fish Rats subsurface. Don’t get me wrong, who doesn’t like a huge top water explosion? But if you get those baits subsurface you’ll pick up a lot more fish on them..Nate gary m, Primus, DuranSD and 2 others

Catfishcarranza
I fish mine at night. I’ll cast it out and wait like ten seconds before I start retrieving it. I almost always get bit when it’s just sitting there. But always retrieve it super slow. I caught my pb at my feet Bobloeacobar

Bobloeacobar
Hey guys just wanted to update on the rat I finally got out for a couple hours the other night and absolutely crushed them. Nothing super big but I was on a small local lake that doesn’t really produce more than 3.5lb. I’m not complaining though I’m totally sold on it now, Rat bites are a blast dwels, Primus and Bass the east
Bass the east
Glad you are having success with it! The PB rat is probably my favorite rat. I’ve caught some big fish on it. The PB rat walks very well. I almost always give it a walk once it hits the water, if no bites I’ll start my straight retrieve with maybe one or two pauses along the way in.
