swimbaitrookie
Not big, but a moral victory of sorts. Bite had been tough all day, finally hooked a good one on the timber on a big worm and it sawed me off in the brush. Cranking battery decided to die shortly thereafter. I didn't want to be stuck in the timber with a dead boat so I jumped off the engine and motored downlake to an area near the ramp that is lined with tullies and riprap. Made a cast to the back of a very shallow pocket, let is sit an agonizingly long time (for me anyway, maybe a minute), looked up and there's a small ripple where my bait had been

MrLMBass
Awesome job, it's hard to let a bait sit but it sure can be worth it.

SPEEDBEAD
I LOVE ripping the shad, but most of the fish I have caught on it were just like the one you caught. SLOOOOOW. Congrats man.
flaswimbaiter
Nice one Rook!! I just love those deadstick fish but I know what you mean about the wait, it is like they are down there just waiting for it to move before they eat it. Very frustrating.
