dmayer88
Totally basic question, I know. But where can I find eye screws with long enough threads for joints, line ties, ect. Local hardware stores only carry short ones in the size I want, can't find anything on-line, searched Grass Roots/SU and can't seem to find any info. Any website or info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Doug

john.barthold
what is wrong with the shorter ones?
Rogervang
what is wrong with the shorter ones? Nothing is wrong with shorter ones. Just depends on the profile of the bait.
dmayer88
what is wrong with the shorter ones? The ones I found in the hardware store only had about 1/4 to 1/2 in of thread, I just felt more comfortable with the line tie and hook mounts extending further into the bait. Lure Parts Online had just what I was looking for, 1 inch or more of threads on a relatively small eye.

I searched a lot of hardware and fastener stores before I found ones I liked.

Deltaman
ok just had to make sure they didnt come out easy, thanks guys what is wrong with the shorter ones? There's a bunch wrong with the shorter ones. They pull out very easily. Also, they are made from nickel plated brass = very soft= easily twisted and bent. Being shorter in length a bass can untwist them pretty easy.
