flaswimbaiter
Got many species here and others I did not take pics of from some recent trips including my first grouper on a swimbait, a good sized bluefish and a trout that got its tail removed by a blue or mackerel. ATFISHING1234
Thats great stuff there Dave. Like I said before, it would be tough to go back to fresh water with all the species you can target in the salt.
everythingthatswims
Gotta love the variety you can find in the salt! I fished a school of bonita last month that was probably a couple acres, had an s-waver 168 in party crasher ready to go but I was too busy throwing a stingsilver to remember that I had it!!! You ever catch a blackfin or bonita on a SB?

evilcatfish
Is that a Scamp Grouper? I'm not good at identifying grouper outside of red, black, warsaw and goliath And bluefish makes me hungry

You ever catch a blackfin or bonita on a SB? There are only two species I have not cuaght in my area, a bonito and a triple tail. Mainly because I dont have a bigger boat. Would love to get either on a swimbait. Just the other day I missed my first flounder on a swimmer, watched him grab it, missed the hook. Is that a Scamp Grouper? I'm not good at identifying grouper outside of red, black, warsaw and goliath And bluefish makes me hungry Its a juvenile gag grouper. I caught a jewfish once the same size. blackdynamite
Awesome. You'll probably be the guy to post the first pics of a shark caught on a swimbait.

You are correct they do. But when they are young they stay in the deep grass untill they are big enough to move on to the bridges and reefs. I have caught them as big as 16" out there. Lurejerk
Pretty cool Dave, One thing about Salt you never know what your getting into. I have fished Brackish water and am amazed what I catch there on swimbaits. So far a Speckled Trout, Bull Red, Sheepshead and something that looks like a prehistoric catfish (Grennel)while in a Bass Tournament in Pascagoula River. Really nice job.
