Rharris918
Question for the shore pounders on here. I just bought my second rod and fished the other day. While walking the bank I would put the rod I wasnt using against a tree or against the fence. Its not really that big of a hassle but figured some one might have a cool way of holding their second rod.
nickh87
I usually bring 3-4 rods out, I lay whatever I'm not using on the ground a few feet behind me with my backpack and tackle bag, reel facing up.

SDBayBassMan
For what it's worth, I've seen this guy selling these things locally on Craigslist. Seems like a good idea but not sure if it would help or just get in the way.
TmBtc12
I bought the tackle warehouse angler backpack when it was on sale a few years ago. It went on sale last year also around Christmas. It has spots to hold two rods and has built in tackle pouches....works very well. 5-20
Yep... I usually just prop it against a tree or bush, and that generally works well, except for last week when I decided to get out for a quick evening trip and caught a pretty new phenix and 400d on my backswing and bounced that combo off some rocks. Ouch.
bigworm
I see some of those "urban anglers" used a stroller before...
nickh87
I see some of those "urban anglers" used a stroller before... Yea I've seen some guys with setups like the crab guys use, cart with pvc rod holders zip-tied to the sides. Depends on how the terrain is for where you want to take it. I use my backpack to carry my rods sometimes (when I need to do some climbing or walking in an area that I need to use my hands to help move across (ledges, etc.) I strap it in with reel in-between the straps, keeps it in place really well and I can fit a big swimbait tackle box, 3.0 liter water bladder, and whatever else I need to bring with me. SethB
I usually just bring one rod and a couple of baits in a back pack. Make life a lot easier. I fish with a guy that brings 3-4 rods and a ton of tackle. While hes messing with all his rods and tackle im fishing. NorCalBass
yep one rod for sure, all the other rods do is create hassle, too difficult to try to carry other rods while fishing as they hit branches and ish if they stand straight up like that. Setting them down is a pain because i'm usually walking down the bank and don't want to constantly pick up and set down rods ATFISHING1234 and northeast_trev
Mitchconners1
1 rod. Most lakes i fish are sand so setting it down just gets sand everywhere
Emann
Two hands two rods haha, I just put the second down. Not much to it.
JTSwimbaitMan
I don't, one rod for the kill. Sometimes I will bring a dropshot rod with me if the fish have been following a lot lately to catch those followers. If I'm on a boat, TONS of rods laying everywhere, cuz I don't have carry them. Easy as that.
