Lurejerk
New Lake Today in East Texas - Lake Hawkins and it was HOT 107 degrees but so was the bite. No Wind- Really Late Sun (it popped out when I had enough). August is rough here with no breeze. Had some good ones, and several good followers. Baits Used : 3:16 OG SS Male Gill and HPH 9" Gliding Gizzard did most of the work. Fatback Herring glide mixed in as well. No Thumb Scratchers here these were Palm Scratchers! ATFISHING1234, timcauliffe, NorCalBass and 11 others

porkmeatballs
Nice fish! What rods are you using?
Lurejerk
Rods- Dobyn's 867 - Dobyn's 806 - and TFO Swimbait Rod 7'11" for my lighter stuff works just fine. Reels- Shimano 300 D 5.6:1, Shimano Curado 200 HG 7.2:1 , Shimano Curado 200 PG 5.5:1 Line- Seguar 20-25 lb Inviz X and Tatsu also Pline CXX 20lb (wanting a faster sink rate in line the Tatsu is perfect) slower sink rate go with the PLine. The Invis X is somewhere in between for me. Handles- HawgTech 93mm Carbon Handles with Winn Grips Blue Grips for Power Reels and Red Grips on High Speed Reels just my preference when grabbing one... I know whats what real qiuck.
