Popular Post thedonnguyen
Got to the lake at 6:00AM and drifted around the whole lake without seeing a follower, just a bunch of carp feeding on the surface. Hit some spots I had caught fish at before for nothing. Hit some spots that I missed fish at last week to see if they were home and nothing. Par for the day. I was drifting down the bank and saw her back, casted past her and she swiped at it. Set the hook, miss…story of my life recently. I beach the boat so I can get in position again without spooking her. I cast it past her again and feel what I think is a strike and POP! line snaps, there goes my 250. I remember the spot in my head to see if I can get it back later. Grab my other rod with my 3:16 weedless rising son, cast past her again, let it sink and slowly drag it across the bottom. Right where I think she was, I let it sink into a hole and BOOM. swallows the rising son. I reel her in as fast as I can and here I am, standing on rocks with no net and no scale. I lip her and hop from rock to rock back to the boat where I snap some pics and weigh her. Bing bang boom. 11# on the dot and my first DD…so amped I’m hooting and hollering with no one around to hear since I’m the only one of the lake. Doesn’t matter…I’m stoked and left the lake to leave it on a good note. Still amped and can’t believe it. PS - I got my Deps back too SwimbaitSam123, biggfeast, gbarcelo and 47 others

danthefisherman
Just saw your comment on the bottom. It must've been a relief to get your 250 back on top of scoring a 11 pounder. bigpoppabass
