tysonck
The water temp in some of the lakes ive been fishing has been over 90 surface temp. Needless to say, the bite has been a little slowwwwwww. Thoughts? Suggestions? Techniques? Im losing it over here.
biggfeast
Wait till night and throw wake baits (my personal favorite), or go deep where cooler water/oxygen is at. Also have success throwing into cover and structure with the 3:16 Minnow and work it like a frog. Never had success myself, but do see people burning/ripping triple trouts and other multi-joint baits, mainly the TT or 3:16 Freestyles though. Fish gotta eat no matter what! sfla
I'm pretty new to swimbaits but have been dealing with the same issue here in South Florida. I've found that night fishing on windy or stormy nights gets the fish much more active.Recently caught a 5.1 on a slammer in a place that hasn't produced a fish in daylight hours for ages. Hhunn
Don't know the exact temp but because of the humidity and heat, I would say the water is around 80 degrees. Fishing deep and near cover has done well for me and a freind...rof 12 hudd along rocks deeper that 10 feet should be money for you
danthefisherman
Honestly don't have too many swimbait fish under my name yet, but I'd either slow down my retrieve as much as possible and target key holding areas or speed up even more to go for the reaction. ZanethePain
For some reason I was crushing not to long ago on a flat mid day just burning a gantarel jr and killing it
dheath2
Right now in Okinawa the lakes I fish are like getting into a hot tub. Had some decent success in July on some weedless boot tail baits but as of late haven't been getting much love on swimbaits.
C_R_TX
Wait till night and throw wake baits (my personal favorite)... +1, work the night bite. During the day time: I will try and find healthy, and (preferably wind blown) shallow weeds. Don't be afraid to really burn the baits in... Shad glides as fast as you can reel. biggfeast
bigpoppabass
Fish weed edges under heavy wind. On rock lakes do the same with docks, but yeah you'll know if they have abandoned em when you draw a bunch of yearlings off of it.
swim16
Slow it down. Dead stick if you have to. Bass will often come over and take a slow sinker on the fall right before it reaches bottom.
