swimbaitman
slammer and pats seem like totally different baits to me..... absolutely agree
kondan
So which one was in production first? Mark's or Pat's?
bigpoppabass
Mine must have run out of the secret sauce but it still produces. Bass feast smelly jelly is pretty close to the real thing. Lol

BigSlant
I meant MIke! Not Mark... Mike has been making baits for resale since '93..don't know on Pat Edited September 28, 2016 by BigSlant waynem and swimbaitman
BigSlant
This being said I think the first modern Era swimbait design was the a.c. plug from Alan Cole around '84..but it was meant to catch large brown trout and striper..bass became a plus Anyway that jointed design and rubber tail started with that I believe
Jibaroyak
For the past 3 months I been trying to buy a pats but everyone wants more than $250. I can't see my self spending that much specially when all the waters I fish have muskie and pike. I Haven't had any luck on my slammer yet. waynem
I fish both. If I were forced to choose just one I would go with the Slammer. I'm sure there are guys that would choose the Pat's. It's just personal preference. Both catch fish. Neither one is going to magically make you a world-class angler. The way prices are right now, you can get 3 or 4 Slammers for the price of a flipped Pats. northeast_trev, MarkH024, timcauliffe and 2 others

SPEEDBEAD
Slammer is a badass bait, Pat's are badass baits. Like C said, they are two different monsters though. If you have a chance to fish them side by side, you'll quickly see for yourself. swimbaitman
