I left my house around 10:45am headed to a local lake five minutes away from my house, this lake not only has my pb but this is where it all started ten years ago, where my addiction to bass fishing begun!! Launched the and proceed to fish down the left shoreline lines with docks throwing a 68 rof5. This lake is known for giants my buddie has a ten out of it and for wa state that pretty unheard of. It's one of those lake where you go there just looking for one bite and usually that all you're gonna but it's gonna be THE ONE.... I guess I should rewind a little bit... typical day in western wa steady light drizzle air temp was somewhere around 50-55 water temp 48-50 with a slight breeze out of the south. I get to the dock, it's a small floating dock maybe 6x6.. I line up make make cast and about the half way mark in front of that dock I get the tick no let me re phrase that I get a THUMP reel down feel the weight and lay into him... POP there goes the line I see the flash... at this point I'm done mentally. I sit down on the front deck and remind myself that I just blew that ONE bite I was suppose to get on that lake. Took a fartchew and said fu@k it I'm going home... I try to pull start my little 25hp and it doesn't want to start after about five minutes of pulling that bastard I'm so pissed by now....Oh yeah and it's raining cats and dawgs now...cool...... Grab different rod and tie on the rof12 68, I'm quickly approaching the best dock/boathouse on the lake. I've already told myself this is it last dock and I'm going home, This dock has a floating platform about 15ft long that has four poles one each side connecting it to the main dock/boat house. I line up make my cast.. Money!!... ish the boats still moving forward. I get the bait about five feet away from the boat and I'll never forget how much my line jumped, stuck the beast a couple reel turns and a shot show of trying to get it in the boat (no net) I get the fish in the boat and put in the livewell, at this point my previous pb was 9lb 3oz six years ago I didn't know how big it was I just knew it was big!!! No scale I called a good buddie that live fourth minutes away and said I need a scale and you to take a picture asap. I go to tryin start the gas motor and go figure is fire up first pull and head to the boat launch. Thirty minutes lake he was there with two scales and the fish read 9-12oz Thanks for reading kinda long mybad. Feel free to follow me on ig clark_korper
