Silas Hood
Hey I'm just getting into the swimbait game and I'm wondering what would be a good rod. I have a Lexa 300 HD and wanna know a good rod to pair with it. Biggest I'm throwing is Gantarels and 8 inch glides (savage gear) and lowest I'll throw is probably my spro bbz 40 rat and some 168 s-wavers. danthefisherman
Welcome to SU! The Dobyns Fury 795 sounds like the perfect match for what you're wanting to throw. I have one waiting for me this Christmas and can't wait! You may also want to look into the Okuma Guide Select H and Daiwa DX. hookedonbigbaits
All three listed above are great starter rods. I've got a Fury 795 and I've been pleased with it as my lighter set up! The best advice I can give is spend time reading on here before you make a purchase. More likely than not your question has been asked many times before. Welcome and enjoy! clh121787
Everything mentioned is good. I don't recommend anything I don't have first hand experience with. Try and get to a shop and get your hands on something.
biggfeast
Daiwa DX & Okuma Guide Select are good rods to start with. For those baits, I'd go with a Heavy. Also hear great things about the Dobyns Fury but don't have any experience with it myself
