Willluvstafish
I just picked thus up and I'm totally siked. The hooks spear to be a dull grey color, not sure if these are not good? If not why would an expensive bait come with cheap hooks?
timcauliffe
When in doubt, change hooks! danthefisherman
biggfeast
I think deps come with Owners, so should be good. If you don't like the dull grey ones, I'd swap to ST-56's or ST-36's. those two are my personal favorite. ST-41's aren't bad either, but they rash more imo compared to the other two I mentioned. evilcatfish
Those are Owner St-46 hooks, which you shouldn't have any issues with. If you don't like them send them my way! Low&Slow, Willluvstafish and bigpoppabass
Willluvstafish
Oh, if they're quality hooks, I'll definitely keep them on. I didn't know if them being dull grey was a sign that they were cheap. Thanks guys!
Campobassmaster
I bought my only bullshooter from someone, and it came with Quads, which I think fit the bait really well. Those hooks are def owner so they will be good. Edited January 3, 2017 by Campobassmaster
BigSlant
Oh, if they're quality hooks, I'll definitely keep them on. I didn't know if them being dull grey was a sign that they were cheap. Thanks guys! The dull gray are usually the salt water tinned, shouldn't corrode like the black steel if not stored properly Good Year 71 and Willluvstafish
bigpoppabass
Prob got that from somebody in caly where hooks can't be too strong. They can also be touched up and honed unlike chemically sharpened hooks. Willluvstafish
ajaustin44
I swapped mine, they seemed dull to me
Ceaser
i like 46s on all my baitfish color baits, white or silver sides and belly. they are sharp and strong. my go-to hook unless i feel i need to go with a 3x or 4x
dosesqs
I was suspicious of these hooks at first, too. But, they seemed sharp, so I kept them and haven't missed a bite yet. And, bigpoppa is right, unlike a lot of newer hooks, they can be honed. I'll take them and tie feathers on them if you are going to trade them out.
