Been an Oakley fan for a while and was looking to invest in a qualtiy pair of fishing glasses.  Saw these new lenses they had that seemed to be designed for fishing.  Anyone been able to try them out are they worth it or am I just as well off using standard polarization?

Bought the KVD version last year, with the shallow water blue prizm lenses. Awesome optics! I've had almost every brand of polarized glasses out there, I even avoided Oakley for a while because they weren't glass. Since switching to the much lighter more comfortable Oakleys, my other glasses never get used. The shallow blue lenses have a pretty light tint and are high contrast, I use them more for lower light situations and overcast days, they absolutely do help spot more featurs/structure and fish. I still use my gray pair for really bright hot days. I've let people try my KVD pair and they were shocked at how much more of an advantage they are.

Hope this helps, , good luck

When you say the blue do you mean the deep water version?  I thought those were more of saltwater but I've seen a couple reviews of people bass fishing in them so maybe I just need to be a little more open minded.

They're called "shallow water blue prizm",, there's no blue to their color, more of an amber. The iridium has a blue tint to it, but can't see that looking through them. They're definitely not made for deep ocean water,, kvd helped engineer them for sight/structure fishing

I've had a pair for a while now and love them. They def bring out the colors in things, so much I use them all the time. They are even great in lower light conditions. I think I'm going to snag another pair actually.

I would go with an optic with a brown or amber colored lense (from the back, the mirror color doesn't matter) brown offers alot more color contrast, and is alot better for spotting fish due to the contrast it gives to colors. I myself am a smith optics chromapop fan, or costa 580G.

I have the Flak 2.0 with prism, shallow water lenses and they work great. I am content with how well I can see down into the water. My only gripe about them is they have a tendency to bounce on my face when going across the lake. Bouncing occurs right around 40 mph. Nothing major but a little bit annoying, although they never feel like they are going to blow off my face. I have let my buddy try them and they didn't bounce for him. Guess I have a weird shaped head or something. Would buy them again if they needed to be replaced.
