WCswimbaiting
Hello Swimbait Underground members, I have been reading up on a lot of this valuable information here and would first of all, like to thank you all for your input and generosity of sharing your knowledge with others! My question is this: What is the difference in performance and "work ability" between new old old style Deps 175's. I know how the new are ABS and the old are a foam body, but I have heard from some people that the new style swim better and are more consistent than the old style???? I find this hard to believe seeing that the OG 250's are more valued and in my opinion better than new style ones, but was wondering if the same resides for their little brother the 175. Any and All input is welcome! Thank you Swimbait Undeground! WC
Top Ramen
The foam 175s were very picky about tuning and they swam very inconsistently from bait to bait. bassfiend72 and Low&Slow
Campobassmaster
I had a foam one and it worked like a jerkbaits
SPEEDBEAD
The swim/workability is considerably better on the ABS version 175, comparable to the input required on the 250 which is easy to work. The old 175 took a little more input and didn't do the traditional "glide" as well IMO. I'd still prefer the 250 in most instances. Volfan
"They swam inconsistently from bait to bait." This is very true. I had an OG bluegill that was incredible, Top Ramen
bassbass
Like other said, the old 175 sucked in my opinion and the new one is a nice little bait. The OG 250's swim great but the new ones that I have fished swim just as good. SpaceGhost
D.Harper603
My first 175 was the new style and I got my hands on a og that swims way better than the new one did. largemouth
