Zealandhunter
Let me know if you have any that you would get rid of that are best up enough for a ling! Also hook me up with a brand new work horse glide or freestyle, those work good for lings too! (Jk) swimbaits_only

Zealandhunter
Santa Cruz! That's my hometown:) Yo Yak fishing? You need rof 16s... I fish off my paddle board and on my dad's boat! I'm getting a yak soon though! And I can do it with any rof because I can just add a weight on the bottom hook hanger!

Bassosis
Use something cheaper than a hudd, use a big hammer, mc, or pearl. One of those things and the hudd is done.
big swimbait dog
Honestly bud if your truly targeting ling's grubs in root beer colored and white total tubes are full proof. I target them up in Alaska and it kills them there and I've used them in Cali. Welcome to pm if you need any info.
asavamedhi
I've tried this before out of Monterey. Took one 12lb ling to rip that hudd into pieces. Good luck.
BASS_SWINGER
Just put on a smaller rock fish and put a couple cuts in it and get a hitchhiker
Campobassmaster
I agree with the big grubs on jigheads. And i Mean BIG. I went up to alaska this summer and fished in Kodiak for some BIG lings, upwards of 50# and we would get a ton jigging some chartreus or white grubs on heavy jig heads Or get some Storm 9" swimbaits.
