bassing305 Posted February 9, 2017 Report Share Posted February 9, 2017 (edited) It's a lot safer to ask for permission to fish private waters than risk getting into trouble for just a couple fish.You will be surprised how kind lake owners can be if you ask them politely to fish their lake.Show them your driving license to show them who you are and tell them you will release every single fish.Offer them fish,most lake owners will say no but it's good to offer.Clean up any mess you cause and leave the area you fish cleaner then it was.Always be respectful and leave the lake if someone says to leave.Last but not least,dont tell people about where exactly you fish since before you know it the lake you have access to will have no fishing/no tresspassing signs everywhere since the lake owners got tired of dealing with the large amounts of irresponsible fishermen.
