Hammerdown
So been doing research and will only be able to get one swimbait setup for now. How does this sound. Tranx 300ahg Paddle handle Dobyns 806 or 807 My baits are mostly hard glide and swim 2-8 oz Will be getting some hudds 8" Not sure on the rod
Bay Arean
I love dobyns, but they do tend to over rate their rods a bit. If you truly will be throwing 8 oz baits the 867 might be best to handle them. I believe 807 is rated for up to10 oz but I believe 8oz bait will over power it. Evan710
Look at spiralites (http://www.spiralitecustomrods.com/maverick-series.html) maverick series. You might be able to afford another setup
StriperAddict
I agree with the 867. I just got an 807 and its only for my baits up to a 250. 6.5oz. It handles them perfectly though!!
Wes Peart
My 806 is a bit noodly with anything bigger than a 8" Hudd. It'll throw a Deps 250 but it's definitely overpowered at that weight. Never used an 807. I find myself reaching for my 908 for almost everything but Slammers now. It'll throw everything from a Hudd to my Godzilla "over them mountains" Bay Arean
