Rangermike Posted May 14, 2018 Report Share Posted May 14, 2018 Fishing here in Kentucky I had an interesting day. Not long into the day I hang up my nego a laydown. I go to get it and the line is under a tree. I can't reach it so I have to get out and I attempt to reach under the tree and free it. Then my line starts moving. I'm guessing somehow I snagged a carp but I look on the other side of the tree and a huge turtle is swimming out with my nego on its leg. I'm waist deep and my boats floating away so I do what any swimbait guy would do start looking for a stick or something to beat the turtle to death with. Luckily the hook comes out still on the line and I retrieve it. Happy to get my bait and very happy I didn't reach under the log and lose a finger. I ended up catching a couple 4-5 lb bass and a double 7-8. But all on a 250. cascadekiller 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
