mike h
I started another bait that more closely resembles a green sunfish. Longer body and bigger jaw. I know some of you said the GS are pretty common on your waters. Same here. I didn’t want to retro fit my bluegill shaped bait with a GS paint scheme, so I started another. I turned the tail upwards slightly to keep the tail fin hopefully engaged with the waters’ surface ..or to install a big wood chopper type prop for a waking/ buzing action. Definitely a different look compared to a Bluegill. Still have a ways to go on it. Anyone prefer this shape over the other? chevro1et, jthod, Mason and 2 others

GerikMeyers
Looks really nice! if you don't mind me asking, what do you use for your tails? I've heard different things, Lexan, acrylic, just wondering what you use. Thanks so much! -Gerik
mike h
For the hard tails I use Lexan. Cut it on bandsaw. sometimes I carve a tail out of wood and mold it so I can make it out of plastisol.
mike h
Have not forgotten about this one. Got it ready to mold. I think it looks a lot like a War-mouth. Those get almost black down here in the swamps.
