David R
Finally got my first slammer fish. I've been getting a bunch of bites but losing them. Finally changed out my hooks and haven't lost any since. carlsbadbassin89, ricardo, FishDr and 6 others

FishDr
Solid fish! The one big girl choked it something wicked - interestingly, none of the hundreds of Slammer fish I've caught have ever done that. Must be that the fish here in CO are just too small... Zigtherat
Man, that one really choked it! Nice fish!
KeepinItReelFishing
I had pretty good success hook-up wise with the stock VMC's, although I had one bend on me on just a modest 4+Lb fish....so I can see the worry if crossing paths with a true giant. What did you replace yours with? -Carl chevro1et
chevro1et
Niiice, I'm still slingin' for my first big on my Slammer. Also interested in your choice in hook replacement.
MaineBassin
Nice fish! The slammer has killed it for me at night. Nothing big tho. Plenty of 14" fish biting the 9" Slammer.

Haven't lost a fish since. chevro1et
