What a rough week, I got my first ticket, My car got rear ended, and I have some family drama popping off all in a week :cry:But at least I finished this bait i have been working on. Its a heavy wooden bait with a vortex tail that makes a really nice wag from side to side. Its an idea that I had a few years ago, though the lure i made back then was not as pretty as this one.  I dont think its a super original idea but i dont see too many baits like this anyway. The next model of this lure is going to have top hooks instead of bottom hooks. Ill post it when I finish.

Nice bait. I would recommend that you change the "name", he likes his layer

Yea i see what your saying. I just called it such so you get the idea of what it is as i dont have names for my baits anyways. Im trying to figure out how to change the title right now. Thanks!!

nice "Shakey Shads" - are these surface baits, swimmers or drop baits? look like they would be a great cold water bait

I weighed them heavy for fishing deep stripers in the winter. If you reel fast enough you get a really powerful thump  and it creates a nice wake. Slow down and you get a subtle wag from the tail and wobble from the body. Its pretty sick!!! Im going to keep experimenting with it but it looks good. Thanks!
