I just thought I’d shpw you guys two fish I’ve caught on an 8” walking bait I made myself. I made this bait out of a block of poplar using a drill press, belt sander, bandsaw, and sandpaper. Nothing is more satisfying than seeing a block of wood transform into a bait that catches big bass. The first picture shows a 6 even and the last couple show an 8.1. If anybody has any questions or thoughts please let me know!

That’s awesome man, I long time goal of mine is to make a bait and catch a fish on it. I can wait to try and make a bait soon

It’s very rewarding, I had to go through a lot of trial and error because I didn’t have a lead melting pot/pourer at the time.  I had to use a camp stove, a small pot, and some bullet weights I had laying around.

Awesome Jackson! I like the rattlecan no eye look myself - kind of vintage - retro style ; plus I'm too cheap to get an air system. With baits and success like that, you don't need store bought!
