Onthefly_25
I'm looking to repaint my Mini Slammer and possibly a few other baits. I have never done this before. Looking for some info on it as well as some tips and tricks you guys use. Thanks!
surfk9
Elijah my best recommendation would be to visit Tackleunderground...I've been a member for close to 10 years ...group of good people that can guide you in all aspects of painting.. check out the "hardbait " forum...michel...Go Fish!! azfisher, 95ShelbyGt and Onthefly_25
azfisher
Agree with Michel above about TU, search airbrush basics, but would also check out Youtube. Search painting lures or search Dakotalakestackle. He has a couple vids that cover some airbrushing techniques to get you started. You don't mention how you want to paint. If you are looking to use rattle cans, I would check out the "I am Toxic Baits Video". There is a small section where you can see how he does some stuff with cans. When painting and clearing glides you need to be very careful about your final ballast weight, too many coats with a can and you can have sinking probs. For newer painters, a common prob can be being heavy handed or when to stop. "Less is More", applies here.
