Hell of a fish! Gonna be real hard to break that mark!

Trophy stripers on the West Coast are becoming very hard to come by. Any fish over 20lbs is now considered a fish of a lifetime. It took me over 5 years of casting lures to break that mark. Then one spring I broke my PB three time in a month. 22lb, 25lb and 31lbs. My current PB is 34lbs, so I'm chasing that very elusive 40lb mark...

34 lbs!! What a tank! Where i’m at on the east coast, lake stripers don’t get too big. The lake record from the 80s is 38lbs and the season record is 33lbs. A lot of people are saying it may be many years before I see a 26+ again. More reason to go grind harder! Congrats on your pb though!

That’s a trophy anywhere in the country! Stripers are brutes and fun to catch, especially on swimbaits. You’re gonna remember that catch for a long time. Congratulations!!!

Thank you! It’s still crazy to think I caught a trophy. Next stop, trophy largemouth!

That’s a fantastic catch. Congrats on the trophy.

I’m also very impressed with the photography! Great composition and the lighting was perfect! The photo shows off the fish very well.

Thank you so much! I tried to angle the boat to get the best possible lighting. It’s amazing how great quality of photos iphones can take
