Riverking
Looking to buy some wakebaits . I was looking at the duel hardcore swimming ninja , any suggestions? Or should I just wait for the klash to get back in stock . I can’t find any for sale online they all on back order. Thanks everybody . This is a great form and very knowledgeable . Quinn M.
The ninja is a really great bait. A little funky thing I found that works well with that one when I fish it is attaching a 25-30 pound, 2-3 foot long flourocarbon leader. It makes it's nose dip down an inch or so and gives it something extra. I fish 75% on super pressured bodies of water and that method messes up the action just enough to make them bite. boylah, MartinG, VolunteerSwimbaits and 1 other

pickle
Most any wake bait with 3 joints will do the trick, or two joints and a tail. Honestly, the spro rat is easy to get and will put fish in the boat. Great bait to gain some confidence. Just my $.02 MartinG, SethMuffinson, Jacobssam and 2 others

bishopbass
Rago top trout is a dynamite wake bait. I don’t know if they’re easy to get or not. I’ve had several for years. Good thing about wakes you don’t ever lose them. Riverking, SethMuffinson and MartinG

bigpoppabass
Grab a monster jack senior on eBay for $20 ish, and go old school with the wake and twitch retrieve. Still in my top 5 of baits known for brutal hits. Fish don't see em much either. bigfish85, Primus and Riverking

KeepinItReelFishing
People sleep on (and often sell) the Mattlures Meathead. It has been a consistent performer for me for the past three years. I'd recommend it as a large wake bait....and unlike many of the large wakes it is readily available! Also, I'm a huge fan of putting wakes into gnarly areas...specifically lay downs, and timber. Intentionally casting them right into thick stuff and using the lip (like a squarebill) to effectively hop them over branches and stuff. Both the Black Dog Baits Shellcracker G2 and Bull Shad 4x4 were specifically designed to do this and I can attest to both's effectiveness to stay snag free the vast majority of the time. -Carl basskickinrednick, SethMuffinson and SKSlide
